Strontium carbonate for industrial use (HG/T 2969-2010)
Molecular formula: SrCO3
Relative molecular weight: 147.63
Physical and chemical properties: white powder, tasteless and odorless. Specific gravity 3.70, melting point 1479 ℃ (6.07Mpa), slightly soluble in water, slightly soluble in carbon dioxide saturated solution, soluble in acid and ammonium salt solution, and decomposed into strontium oxide and carbon dioxide at 1350 ℃.
Uses: Mainly used as raw materials for color picture tube glass shell, magnetic materials, optical glass, metal smelting, ceramics, fireworks and other strontium salts. The glass prepared with strontium carbonate has strong X ray absorption ability.
